1. PURPOSE OF THE CONTEST:
At IKEA we believe that Christmas is a magical moment, specially for the little ones at home. In a world where everything is difital, we want to invite the children that are between 3 and 10 years that visit our stores within the geographical scope of Balearic and Canary Islands, between 1st and 31st of October of 2024 to participate on a very special drawing contest: the design of Chritsmas postcards. With this contest we do not only celebrate creativity, but we are also looking to revive a tradition that we should never lose: giving a handmade postcard, with love and dedication.
We encourage all the little artists to let their imagination fly and put in every drawing a piece of their Christmas spirit. There are no limits to creativity! The colors, shapes and characters they draw will become something tangible, a unique gift that they can share with the ones they love most.
Presenting proposals to the contest, the children that participate will not only be having fun, but will also be part of a tradition that is worth keeping.

A template will be facilitated where children must draw their idea of Christmas card. It will be delivered at Småland and will also be available at the postboxes placed at the entrance of Småland. With this template children can elaborate their drawings during the time they are at the Småland game rooms or make them at home and bring them on their next visit to IKEA. To participate in the contest they must deliver the drawing to one of the provided postboxes at the game rooms. The postboxes will be active from the 1st to the 31st of October and will include templates to participate.7. MECHANISM OF THE CONTEST:
Once the creativities are submitted by the participant at the IKEA stores during the contest scope: the judge made of IKEA stores personnel from different areas (marketing, IKEA Family, Sales, Com&in) will select the creativity that has all the requirements fixed on the theme and that also is considered "the most original" and complies with the exposed requirements. They will choose two drawings in total per each store, being one the winner and the other the substitute. The susbtitute will only be awarded in case of renounce of the initial winner or if they cannot be located. Under no circumstance the awarded will be the same person as the substitute.The period to participate is the following; It starts the 1st of October and it ends the 31st of October of 2024, announcing the winner on the 8th of November 2024.
Of all the received drawings, four will be chosen as winners. The designs that win will not only be prized, but will also be part of the Christmas cards collection that IKEA Balearic and Canary Islands will release on December.
Besides, these cards will not only be available at the stores, points and shops of IKEA Balearic and Canart Islands, but will also be part of the IKEA Balearic and Canary Islands Acciones de Corazón.
8. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PRIZE:
The winner will get as a prize a pack of children products valued in 100€, a certificate of recognition for their creativity and a purchase voucher of 50 euros exchangeable at stores, points, web of IKEA Balearic and Canary Islands, as well as in IKEA Inspire App for furniture and decoration items. Besides, if the mother, father or legal tutor of the participant is part of the IKEA Family club or owner of the Ventajón card, they will be added 80 euros to the amount of the purchase voucher value.
Besides, they will be delivered a diploma, a printed copy of the Christmas cards.
As well as the recognition for their work through a post of the creativity in dedicated space on the next "IKEA Family" magazine.
The prize is nominative and non transferable. It cannot be exchangeable for cash money. In case that for any circumstance the winner could not or would not want to accept the prize, or renounces to it, IKEA will dessignate the next winner according to the stipulated terms. The same will happen if the acceptance communication is not received in the deadline indicated on the present terms. The prize will not be awarded in the winner and/or susbstitute do not accept it or renounce it, or if the acceptance letter of the prize is not received according to the present terms.The purchase voucher is non-tranferable and has to be used by the winners at the stores and points IKEA Balearic and Canary Islands or at the web www.islas.IKEA.es
The purchase voucher amount cannot be used to compensate the outstanding balance for purchases financed with credit cards, to pay for delivery or assembly services nor will it be exchangeable for another one or for its value in cash.
The organization is not responsible in case of misplacement or sustraction of the purchase voucher and exempts the Organizers of any responsibility as a result of the acceptance or use of the Purchase voucher or participation in the Promotion.
The usage of a purchase voucher never generates new purchase vouchers.
9. PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS:
In order to participate in the contest, the following requirements must be met:-Being 10 years old or less in the moment of the creativity presentation at the contest.
-Pick up and fill in correctly the form that every participant will receive.
-Have the express authorization of your mother, father or legal guardian to participate, and based on that:
- All terms and conditions present must be accepted in those terms and make sure they are met.
- Both IKEA and the personnel of the organization, reserve the right to ask the mother/father/legal guardian to credit their identiity.
- The mother, father or legal guardian credits under their responsibility and guarantees that the minor has the ability to participate in the contest, and that they comply the requirements of the participation.
- The mother, father or legal guardian accepts all the references made in the terms that refer to the minor.
- Thus, the mother, father or legal guardian of the minors will be who presents the creativity, along with the form they have received.
- All creativities in the contest must be original works of the participants and, for that case, the consent to participate in the contest, as well as the submission of the design, means the express recognition that IKEA will not be responsible of third person complaints due to plagiarism, copying or any other vulnerability of the right of industrial and intellectual property, keep the participants unscathed to IKEA for the liquidated damages that must occur due to this.
-The authors and therefore, their mothers, father or legal guardians, know that, applying the art to the contest, they transfer the image rights of these creativities, being able to use them for commercial purposes, as well as its publication and distribution on different means.
-Apply to the contest means the acceptance of the legal terms and conditions.
-IKEA employees children and their immediate family members, and people who have been directly or indirectly involved in the preparation of the giveaway, as well as relatives of any of the aforementioned, in the first degree of consanguinity or affinity, are excluded from participating in this contest.
10. TECHNIQUE AND DOING THE DRAWING:
All participants that comply with the participation requirements described in the point 7, can present their drawings as long as they comply with:
The technique is totally free, they can use, for example, crayons, pencils, markers, watercolors, tempera, among others.
On the back of the drawing will be placed their name, surnames, date of birth, address, telephone and email of the legal tutor or parents.
The drawings that do not have these data will be eliminated.
11. ELECCIÓN DE LOS GANADORES
The giveaway will be performed at the offices of La Mareta, Gran Canaria, through the web https://www.randompicker.com
From the 4th to the 8th of November, the father, mother or legal tutor of the winning minors will be contacted via telephone, requesting them to attend the Store, Point or Shop IKEA of their island of residence, to pick up their prize. If the period ends and they have not visited the store or Point IKEA we will contact the subsitute winner. Being the prize null in case none of the winners attend.
The results of the giveaway will be advertised on several means: social media, web, as well as in the next IKEA Family magazine issues.
12. ACCEPTANCE OF THE PRESENT LEGAL TERMS:
