Key features

The curtain can be used regardless of how you turn the bed and where you position the ladder.

Each market stall has an opening, so the children can play both on the inside and outside and take turns being a salesperson or customer.

Playing shop and imitating adults in role-playing is a way for children to process experiences, practice interacting with others and understand their surroundings.

The motif stimulates the imagination and goes great with the toy food, toy cookware, and toy cash register in the DUKTIG series.

You avoid needing to drill and avoid risking permanent marks from glue on the bed frame since the curtain has touch-and-close fasteners which attach to metal hooks that you hang over the edge of the bed frame.

When it's time for quick clean-up or a break from playing, the curtain can be easily drawn to the side by moving the metal hooks.

The bed curtain is made of 100% polyester – a light, airy, and durable material that can handle a hectic day at the market.

Environment

IKEA has strict requirements for the use of phthalates in all our products, and we have totally banned them in children’s and food-contact products. Since 1996 IKEA has banned harmful dyes, e.g. azo dyes, in textile and leather production. IKEA has banned the use of chlorine bleaching agents in the production of textiles and paper products due to the negative impact on the environment. By using recycled polyester in this product, we consume less new raw materials and lower our environmental impact while existing materials get new life. We want to have a positive impact on the planet. That is why by 2030, we want all materials in our products to be recycled or renewable, and sourced in responsible ways.

How to encourage play in the children’s room
How to encourage play in the children’s room

The way toys are stored makes a big difference in how much playtime they get. It’s simply more inspiring for kids to have them in clear sight in easy-reach storage – which also makes tidying easier. But everything doesn’t always have to be cleared away. Why not leave a few creative spaces where playtime can continue whenever they want?
