A handmade rug in soft wool that pays homage to the traditional Scandinavian, “Munkabälte” weave pattern.
Made in India in organized weaving centers with good working conditions and fair wages.
The rug is made of wool so it's naturally soil-repellent and very durable.
A perfect size and shape by the bed or in the hallway.
A perfect companion for all types of flooring, even those with underfloor heating.
Use STOPP FILT anti-slip rug underlay under the entire rug for increased safety.
You will need 1 STOPP FILT rug underlay with anti-slip (5'5"x7'9") for this rug. Trim if necessary.
When designing VAMDRUP rug, I wanted it to create a handcrafted feel – full of character. I studied traditional Scandinavian weaving techniques and decided to do a modern take on the old Monk’s Belt pattern. I enlarged it and experimented with different colors and opted for warm, neutral tones that give the rug a fresh, up-to-date look. I hope that people become curious and inspired by this handicraft made from durable wool that will last for many years.
