Key features
UTZ certified cacao: ensures sustainable farming standards and good conditions for workers.
The chocolate contains a minimum of 30% cocoa.
You can easily check the origin of the cocoa beans by visiting www.utzcertified.org/IKEA.
Crispy hazelnuts
Maya and Aztek Indians were among the first to cultivate cacao tree seeds for use in sauces and beverages. The bitter beans are fermented and roasted, then sweetened with sugar and other ingredients to make what is referred to as chocolate today. The UTZ Certified CHOKLAD NÖT milk chocolate bar with hazelnuts, 26% cacao content, is delicately smooth, rich and creamy, as loved by chocolate connoisseurs. The chopped hazelnuts add flavor and crispiness.
Better farming, better future
UTZ Certified stands for sustainable farming and better opportunities for farmers, their families and our planet. The UTZ program enables farmers to learn better farming methods, improve working conditions and take better care of their children and the environment. Through the UTZ-program farmers grow better crops, generate more income and create better opportunities while safeguarding the environment and securing the earth’s natural resources. Now and in the future.
Check the origin of your coffee or chocolate
Traceability is one of the foundations on which the UTZ program is based. The ability to trace the origin of commodities provides reassurance that crops have been produced according to the standards and that buyers contribute to better farming. To check the origin and learn more about the plantations where the coffee or cacao beans in your IKEA coffee or chocolate bar were grown, visit www.utz.org/IKEA.
