Plastic, paper, and glass three common materials that often end up in our trash bins, contributing to the staggering 500 kilos of waste per person annually. The good news is, much of this waste is recyclable, offering a chance to reduce our environmental footprint. Yet, the challenge lies in efficiently sorting these materials without turning our homes into a maze of various garbage bags. But fear not! With some simple yet effective tips, mastering the art of waste separation at home becomes effortless.

Separating waste at home

Recycling doesn't have to be difficult. With a few small adjustments you can easily separate your waste. For starters, it's good to have a system.

For example, use a different bin for each type of waste. Those bins don't have to be big. With the HÅLLBAR series you can set up your kitchen cabinet with different sizes of waste sorting bins.

Empty jars and bottles can easily be stored in a crate. This way you have everything at hand and you can bring it directly to the glass container.

Recycling starts at home

Even if you don't have room for separate bins, recycling isn't difficult.

For example, choose to store your paper or glassware in a recycling bag. This allows you to collect dry waste in one place without taking up too much space. Has the bag become dirty? No problem you can easily rinse the bag and you can immediately use it again.

Another tip is to make your waste as small as possible: fold boxes together and make plastic packaging small. This way, more waste fits in a container or waste bag.
