WE FINALLY HAVE THE WINNER POSTCARDS OF THE FIRST CHILDREN’S CONTEST OF CHRISTMAS POSTCARDS!

During the month of October IKEA Balearic and Canary Islands summoned the first Christmas postcards children’s contest. It is a fun initiative designed for children up to 10 years old, residents in the Balearic and Canary Islands.

With this proposal we encouraged the little ones to be part of a beautiful tradition, wishing merry Christmas with handmade postcards.
We received a total of 384 designs full of color and a lot of joy. The more common themes were Santa Claus (along with his elves and reindeers), family, Christmas trees (always crowned by a shimmering star and curious ginger cookies.
Among all proposals we selected 4 winner postcards:
- Gabriela Ortega, 10 years old (IKEA Gran Canaria)
- Julia Teresa Llompart, 8 years old (IKEA Mallorca)
- Elisa Lacoste, 8 years old (IKEA Lanzarote)
- Celina Benítez, 6 years old (IKEA Tenerife)
Congratulations to all of you! The prize received by each of the winners has been a set of MÅLA items to encourage, even more, their creativity. We truly wish you enjoy it a lot these Christmas.
Besides, through their project Acciones de Corazón, IKEA will donate postcards with the designs of the 4 winners to collaborative NGOs, so more people can receive these beautiful cards.
Lastly, we want to thank all participants, and at the same time encourage more children to present their drawings next year in the second edition of this contest. Until next year… ho, ho, ho!
