Key features
Part of the Nytillverkad collection where several IKEA classics have been given a new look.
Designed by Ehlén Johansson, the predecessors to SKOGSTUNDRA vases were first shown in the 1995 catalogue with the name OPTIMUM.
For the relaunch, we’ve taken the opportunity to update the material from flintware to glazed stoneware, changed the opening of the low vase to a smooth ring and renewed the colors.
Designer
Designer Ehlén Johansson
Ehlén started as a trainee at IKEA in 1984 and over the years has created everything from ceramics to wardrobes for us as a freelance designer. Her eye for simplicity makes her work stand out, sometimes with a humorous touch. Ehlén is an important part of our DNA and we’re proud to still offer her smart designs in our regular range – and in the Nytillverkad collection, where her OPTIMUM vases from the 1995 catalogue are now available in new colors with the name SKOGSTUNDRA.
